Activity 1
*Click on the picture below to see other pictures
*In your notebook, write the description of pictures 1 to 8. You can click again and scroll while you're writing your descriptions. Don't forget to write the date and the reference (Blog, day 1, activity 1)
*Do you think any of the pictures doesn't fit in? Why?
*Now write a short story based on some of the pics you've just seen. Write about 170-200 words. If you don't finish in class, please do it as homework.
Instuctions for your writing task:
Write first the outline of your story, and think if there is logic or coherence in it. Then, write a rough copy, looking out for any possible grammar mistakes (is the story told in the past? are you using past tenses?). Also look out for spelling mistakes (remember there's a bilingual dictionary in the cupboard in your classroom and you can use Wordreference or any other online dictionary at home).
DO NOT translate from Spanish, so please, please, think of the language you can use to tell your story and use it. You all know a lot of English already! Now you are ready to write your story on a paper to hand in on 12th March.
DAY 2: There must be someone by the computer to scroll down/up and click when necessary.
*Click on the image above and read the text. If you don't know what happened, click on the pic below. You are given a clue.
*So, who are Romeo and Juliet?
*Below, you can see two goldfish. After a while, they've got bored because they're on their own, without mobile phones or TV, and don't have any homework to do either.
*Name them as boy and girl with your favourite names for goldfish and then write a dialogue between them. This dialogue must include the following lines, though not one after the other, that wouldn't make any sense.
-No, that never happened.
-Yes, but that's a far cry from what I thought.
-It's much better not to get into deep water with her.
You can write your dialogue in your notebook. You'll read it in class sometime during the week
12th-15th March.
